The Patriot-News is reporting that 18 people who attended Susquehanna between 1990 and 2001 have developed cancer....before turning 30 years old.
Altogether 40 cases of cancer have been discovered that are in Selinsgrove. Of those, 21 people lived in an off-campus area that had leaking underground storage tanks containing benzene.
Denials and reversals at first....now a full-blown investigation. Later tons of lawsuits and lawyers getting rich...and people dying much too soon because of someone's foolishness.
It makes us wonder who else has what else stored where else....
And the kids just thought they went to school to get an education.
What do you think should be done in a case like this?

So you want to jump on the bandwagon as well, without any actual investigation yourself? Figure you can take ONE article for its face value and use it for hype? I LIVED IN THE SO CALLED "CONTAMINATED AREA" FOR 5 YEARS AS A CHILD, I NOW ATTEND SUSQUEHANNA UNIVERSITY AND WILL GRADUATE THIS SPRING! My health is excellent, and I have not had any problems WHATSOEVER! Did you read the article!? You can make the statistics say whatever you want, especially cancer rates. So many people get cancer all you have to do is track down enough people that over the years have been in one place and of course you are going to find a "correlation" of people that get cancer. If you start with a result you can always construct a cause. This is the exact reason I HATE NEWS MEDIA. They look for a good story and not the facts. Thanks for continuing the trend!
