Apparently the guys needed some motivation.
At a pep rally in Tokoy, some new college graduates get help from cheerleaders. The kick is symbolic...moresom, if the guys were facing the other direction.
March 1st marks the beginning of job-hunting for these boys from vocational schools.
It strikes me as funny, what with Japan so hard up for workers that new grads need girls to send them on their way. Wouldn't the reverse be true? Where there are girls, the guys will come, not go.![]()
The Japanese school year begins in April and ends in March for elementary and secondary schools, Januaryish for colleges and universities.
The students take a break that they have a hard time recovering from.
Someone calls in the girls ( a parent's committee, no doubt ) and tells the guys, "Oi, shigoto wo sagase!" Hey, find a job!
And, off they go.
Where do you find your motivation when you don't want to do something?
