America's Under Secretary for Public Diplomacy is in India with a delegation of university presidents trying to sell American style education to India so that India's young people will not even have to leave the country.
In that way, the kids will be ready to receive more outsourcing jobs as soon as they are out of high school, no?
Additionally...Indian students will be more prepared to attend American universities when they get out of high school.
50% of India's population is under the age of 25. India's young people needed to be educated...America thinks it knows how to do that.
Seems like a good match.
India's legistlature is expected to vote on a bill next month that would allow US schools to set up satellite campuses in India.
Do you think the U.S. education model is good enough to export to places like India?
