A 20-year old ballet dance from Shizuoka Prefecture has been selected to represent Japan in the Miss Universe Competition.
The world competition will be held in Mexico the end of May....Hmm...I wonder if I can cover it, the contest...the contest. ![]()
Japan's Ito Kinuko snared third place in 1953, Kojima Akiko won in 1959 and Chibana Kurara took second place last year.
Mori says...
"If you believe in yourself and try hard, you'll get results. The dancing that I've done over the 16 years since I was 4 has been a source of self-confidence for me."
Indeed! Indeed! If a youngster can be taught when they are little to devote themselves to a cause, that devotion will carry over to other areas of their lives.
I have known where my younger boy was nearly every minute of his life up until he went to university....home, eating, sleeping, in school or in the pool.
Devotion to swimming and commitment...now he is saving his old man money on a swim scholarship.
Congratulations to Mori Riyo.
