
About 85% of Oregon public schools will join their paper bubble-filling counterparts in doing tests the old fashioned way.
It turns out the online tests were not reliable...the system bogged down, results were not recorded and some students were asked to do the test again.
That doesn't happen to paper tests, I reckon. Teachers pass them out at the same time, collect them at the same time and then grade them over the course of hours, maybe days, always in the same mood and without regard to whose name is on the test ensuring total unbiased judgement.![]()
Yup...the low-tech way has to be the better way to go.
Couldn't the testing service just get things in gear to prevent the slow down from happening next time?
