I plan to turn my attention to ESL and teaching, doing business in Japan and such at TheBizOfKnowledge and perhaps RisingSunOfNihon as well, in the near future.
In the news...a young female, 22-years old, from Britain who worked as a language school teacher in Chiba, was found dead, in a bathtub on a balcony.
That's a bit weird, because I have never heard of a bathtub on a balcony in Japan.
Anyway, an arrest warrant has been issued for a 28-year old Japanese man.
When I hired young people to come work for me at my language school, I would always get the question, "Is it safe in Japan?" The prospective teacher would always ask, and sometimes, if the teacher was young enough, parents would ask.
"Yes, Japan is safe. Please don't worry."
Not any more...
Have you ever felt Japan was dangerous?
