There are groups that pound on doors, travel around on bicycles, hang out in public places and pin flowers and such while proselytizing.
Arguments ensue, holy books are opened and notes are compared.
One side gets zealous and the other studious. Passion takes on eloquence. Lines are drawn.
And in the end, not a whole lot is accomplished other than both sides knowing somewhat what is important to the other side.
So, how does a person change another person's mind?
Henrietta Mears, nobody to some, somebody to many, said, "Kindness has converted more sinners that zeal, eloquence or learning."
There's a valuable lesson here....kindness is more persuasive than right, well spoken or passionate.
If you want to change somebody's mind...be nice to them...and then they will listen.
Have you ever tried and failed to change someone's mind?
