The police chief under pretenses of wanting the kids to know the criminal behavior has tough consequences eagerly took the call, went to the school and arrested the little girl, handcuffed her, escorted her out and to the police station in a police car.
The parents have their own story, father is a recovering meth addict and the girl is in the middle of a tribe of siblings.
The police chief said "I was just trying to help them along."
Mock arrest...scaring the nonsense out of a youngster...parents 'borrowing' the use of workers funded by taxpayers to teach kids a lesson....seems too much to me.
It's the parents responsibility to teach the kids.
And in this case, the parents taught their little girl to be afraid of policemen.
It reminds me of a story about a mother and her little boy sitting in a restaurant. The little boy refused to eat his green beans.
When the mother saw a policeman sitting nearby, she said "If you don't eat them, I will call the policeman over here."
The policeman overheard the exchange and walked to where they were sitting.
The little boy cowered down as the policeman bent over and spoke, "I don't like green beans either. You don't have to eat them. But, remember, I am your friend."
Policemen and policewomen...your enemy or your friend?
