
"Muslims revealed their true ugly face and appeared to all the world that they are full of brutality, barbarism and inhumanity," he wrote in his blog. He also called Muhammad and his 7th century followers, the Sahaba, "spillers of blood" for their teachings on warfare."
A judge found the writer guilty of insulting the Prophet Muhammed, insulting Islam and inciting sectarian rife AND insulting President Hosri Mubarak "the symbol of tyranny" while he was at it.
The punishment - 3 years in prison plus one for his offense against the president.
The appeal has been upheld.
The guy is going to jail...and chances are he won't have an Internet connection to write blogs on to pass time.
Bloggers can, well, um, blog...speak their mind, say their piece, put it down, hit save or publish...and smile...but not everywhere.
