The European University Association has issued “The Lisbon Declaration,” outlining goals for higher education in Europe.
Some of them are:
1. improvement in research capabilities
2. recognition of diverse missions
3. preservation of university autonomy
4. a stronger focus on students.
5. creating a supportive learniing environment
6. employability
7. lifelone learning
8. linking higher education and research
9. embedding high quality doctoral programs in universities
10. developing institutional strategies for research
and about 18 more here.
What I want to know is, if these are the new goals, what were the old goals?
