Congress ordered a report on the results.
What the report says is that $1 billion was wasted.
"Teenagers who took part in the programs as elementary and middle school students were just as likely to have sex as those who did not take part in them, the survey found."
"Program and control group youth also did not differ in the number of partners with whom they had sex. About 25 percent in both groups had already had sex with three or more partners."
So, what do we do? Resign ourselves to the fact that our kids are going to be sexually active and teach them how not to get pregnant instead?
I wonder if a study has been done on how effective pregnancy prevention methods are.
I once heard that the best way to get your kids to listen to you is to find out what they want to do, then tell them to do it.
