When I was just a little tike, there was this guy on the bus who used to torment the daylights out of me. I loved school, but I hated the going part....I just wanted to close my eyes and be there. Of course, there was always the ride home, too.
My dad told me to toughen up or better yet, just stand up for myself. My dad didn't have to stare at a guy twice, or was it three times my size.
At the time, there was no such thing as bullying...or at least I didn't know the term. Now there is Cyber Bullying AND Cyber Bullying Prevention.
Call me stupid or slow or just plain behind-the-times (I was called worse in school. Yet another type of bullying) but kids these days can be downright creative in the ways they make others' lives miserable.
What is Cyber Bullying? And what kinds of cyber bullying are there? The answer is here.
Bash boards, Buddy list, cyberbullying, cyberbullying victim, cyberstalking, cyberthreats, flaming, happy slapping (sounds like fun but isn't?), spam (does NOT taste good) trolling.... I wouldn't have known.
Teachers, by the way, get cyber bullied, too.
If my teachers had known about these 17 Bullying Lesson Plans and Bullying Preemption Activities for bus drivers, perhaps my life would have been a lot easier growing up.
