Two students and some friends decided to pass some time by making dry ice bombs...plastic soda bottles, water and dry ice (don't try this at home.)
The first boomed loud enough that the sound bounced off the walls of the residence halls.
The second one took so long to go off that some of the kids went home while two stuck around waiting for it to go off....and get apprehended by police
for..."detonating a destructive device, a third-degree felony punishable by up to five years in prison."Whoa! Talk about idleness being the devil's workshop!
The two arrested students, one a 3.2 architecture major and the other a straight A aspiring journalist have no criminal history. But, she does have something to write about now.
A chem prof says these types of 'bombs' a comparable to a large firecracker.
BOOM! Smacked by water and air.
