The 4 questions
Should you weigh yourself every day?
University of Minnesota says it won't hurt...no link to depression. I think the depression is when you are trying to LOSE weight. You can't see quick changes, so you get depressed. Once you reach your goal...weighing in every day will keep the pounds from creeping back on.
Dessert vs. second appetizer?
Yale University School of Medicine says it depends on the choices. More breaded and fried or sorbert? Green salad and grilled shrimp or chocolate cheesecake. Calories in..calories out.
Can water really help you lose weight?
Children's Hospital Oakland Research Institute says yes...more water = greater loss of body weight and fat. Of course, you the water will make you feel bloated and take up room that food might have.
Treadmill vs. elliptical trainer?
If your joints can take it...the treadmill wins says the American College of Sports Medicine. If the joints can't take the high impact...then do the elliptical thing or find a balance of the two.
