Lawn mowers, pop corn poppers, a salad bar and a marquee sign that goes for $24K are on the MIA list.
Just when FAMU got its full accreditation back...it is facing the prospect of losing it again because its bookkeepers can't keep track of all the things on its inventory lists.
FAMU officials countered with "the vast majority of the 987 missing items were old and worthless."
Doesn't matter...and what about the small miniority that is NOT WORTHLESS? FAMU says 701 items have depreciated to the point of no value and the rest are worth just $208K. JUST $208K?!
What is old and worthless is FAMU's accountability system...and the idea that the school can be trusted with money.
How is it that public schools like this are permitted to keep on operating?
Something is wrong with this picture?
