Steak house dinners...after-work happy hours...ice cream carts....goodie buckets with cookies....(putting out the cookies is really hitting low) are some of the ways that lenders courted University of Texas to get on thier preferred lenders list..the lenders the school would recommend to students needing loans for school bills.

Chuy's Hula Hut provided by Access Group Inc., Student Loan Xpress Inc. provided birthday cakes and cookies (cookies!!), The University Federal Credit Union, treated the financial aid office to dinner at the Texas Land & Cattle Steak House and to an El Arroyo fajita lunch.
A Wells Fargo representative has "golf" and "tour" written beside her visit dates.
Hmmm....I guess dirty doesn't have to be dirty unless you think fighting with golf and cookies is pretty low.
If the devil wanted me, and I hope he isn't reading,...he'd come after me with cookies.
So, why don't our schools have better safeguards after lender 'attacks?'
