There's a Youtube that shows viewers how to land an airplane on the top of an RV. Slow down, match speeds and so on.

My question is, how will they get the airplane back OFF of the RV after the show.  Speed up and jump?! I don't think it will work.

When I was in the Navy, we used to ride the Midway when I served as Intelligence Officer for a destroyer squadron commodore.

At times, we could hang out in a small compartment and watch planes take off and land on the aircraft carrier...no small ship at about 3 football fields in length.

However, when the pilot wants to reach several hundreds of miles an hour in that short of a distance, it does amount to speeding up and jumping off, with the help of catapults.

Landing...the pilots tell me it's like trying to put your twenty million dollar aircraft, flying at 200-300mph on a postage stamp in the middle of an ocean.

Now, that is fun to watch.
