The Mayo Clinic has designed a 'vertical workstation' - a desk fitted over a standard treadmill.

Depending on the size of the person doing the walking while working...someone could lose up to 66lbs in a year if the workstation were used everyday.

By walking at a measly 1mph (1.6kph) users could burn up to 100 calories or more each hour -- than if just sitting in a chair.

Walking just 2-3 hours a day could result in 40-60 lbs of weight loss in a year.

The cost...$1,600. The cost in medical savings...priceless.  

It seems to me some companies might want to make the investment just to save on medical costs.
