Some knucklehead in Brazil decided to auction off his wife on Mercado Livre, a site partially owned by eBay, Inc.
The man:
1. listed her physcial qualities![]()
2. praised her as a companion
3. emphasized her homemaking abilities
4. set a price - 100 reals ($50).
5. made it a bargain - he said she was "worth her weight in gold."
And then waited for the bids to come in.
Instead, the Secretariat of Public Policies for Women ordered the ad be removed for, get this, "violating a law banning the offer or sale of 'human organs, people, blood, bones or skin.'"
Yup, I suppose his wife's container had all those parts in it.
The man said he did it because he needed the money.
The wife decided she would sell him by the part after disassembling him.
How much do you think your wife is worth?
