My son plays the piano. He is NOT/was NOT a child prodigy.
When I asked one of his teachers how she could determine if a child was gifted or not, she told me she could generally tell by how long it took for the student to learn a new piece.
A sonata could be learned by one student in a few hours or a day, whereas another student might need a week or more or never learn it.
Here's a boy who can play the electric guitar and sing Beatles' hits and he is only 6-years old!
Six! I think I was still learning to hum in the first grade.
Very cute...and very talented. At the end...Ellen gives him a gift that was used by famous guitarists, including Eric Clapton, that his grandfather enjoyed.
Are you a prodigy?
Do you know one?
