11 of the students are still in the Contra Costa Community College...perhaps not for long. The rest have gone on to other schools or to buy whatever they can't get in future such situations.
The Community College prez says they have taken steps - "Students no longer have access to or have the ability to change grades." Ask Miami U if that is enough.
The police chief warned, "You can't buy an education in that fashion." So, what fashion CAN you buy an education?
The police chief, on a roll, continued, "The message to students is,'Do the right thing.'" Yup, that'll teach them.
A prof complained...we've had to meet so many requirements for turning in grades on time and not dropping students without this requirement and that requirement. We're jumping through hoops, and after we give the grades, we assume they'll be respected."
The problem seems to be that all her 'hard work' went for naught, NOT that students bought grades and the registrar's office failed in its security measures, no?
It seems to me this school has more problems than just students buying grades?
How much would you pay to get a grade change IF it were legal to so? And which grade would it be?
