What's wrong with America? What are Americans afraid of?
I learned yesterday...
IBM estimates that they have about 53,000 people working in India. As a result...the company thinks it is saving $8 billion each year from this outsourcing activity. That's $8 billion less we, Americans, have to pay for an IBM product.
How much cheaper are the many products we buy because the IBMs can reach around the world to find a way to make them more affordable? ![]()
90% of Americans are AFRAID that they will lose their jobs to outsourcing.
30+% of college graduates are afraid of the same.
Isn't it the college grads who can benefit the most by working in organizations that outsource?
It seems to me that those who are the most afraid are those who are not getting an education.
Time to study ... time to learn...how the whole world is integrated. The United States is no longer the center of the global economy.
What are you afraid of?
