There's an organized "Walking School" in Yichang, Hubei Province that teaches kids how to walk...long distances ... for the purpose of experiencing hardships and building their strong wills.
Walking long distances is something I know about...experiencing hardship...developing strong wills....I know about that, too.
For 10 years the company I owned in Japan staged annually a walk-a-thon. The goal each year was to walk 100km (62.1 miles) in 24-hours.
I learned many valuable life lessons on those walks.

There are two kinds of people who started out on the 100 km walks. One said, "I will give you my best. I will go as far as I absolutely can. I am committed to trying my utmost."
The other said somewhat quietly, "Hmm...I wonder how long it will take me."
Which of the two groups do you think had the highest completion rate?
When people are given a very hard task, which attitude is likely to get a job done?
