I was stationed in Coronado for a while when I was in the Navy...studied Surface Warfare before going off to serve in Japan. One morning I went for a run along the beach in La Jolla. I kind of looked up ahead and saw what I thought were a couple of hundred people running around....without clothes on...naked, nude, that sort of thing. It was 20 years or more ago and I was a Midwestern Bible-belter and naive to say the least. I had never heard of nor thought of there really being a nude beach. But...I had heard that California was different. So, I decided to run on up a bit closer to make sure it was a nude beach. It was. People playing frisbee, naked. Playing vollebyall, naked. Running, naked. Having lunch, naked. Swimming in the sea, naked. I could tell who the rookies were, they were bright red in all the wrong places and facing some serious hurt
