Somebody should tape this mother's mouth shut so she can know what it feels like.
A woman was charged with manslaughter in the death of her 4-month old boy after she taped a pacifier to his mouth to keep it from falling out.
I am dumbfounded as I write this.
What was this woman NOT thinking? I can't imagine that it would not occur to her what might happen if she did such a thing.
She said, "I didn't know it would hurt him, or I wouldn't have done that."
Really now?
The woman called 911 to say her baby was unconscious.
When the rescue workers showed up and asked for more information, "The only thing I can think of is I taped the pacifier to keep it from falling out."
Her fiance, who is not under investigation, was at home with her.
And, why is he NOT under investigation.
"Gee, dumbdee, taping the little rubber thing to its mouth i
s a cool idea. Speakin of cool...will you bring me a beer.""It must be workin. We haven't heard a peep out of him for a couple of hours."
If convicted, the mom faces 6.5-8.5 years in prison.
If not convicted of manslaughter, she should be charged with gross stupidity.
Some people should not be allowed to reproduce.
