Kids at North Bend Middle School were told they couldn't bring in bottled water to school.
Reason - some were smuggling in alcohol. Middle schoolers, mind you.
Bigger reason - they didn't want to drink from the water fountains.
For an English class, one student decided to investigate which had the least bacteria, the water fountains or the toilet bowls. The water fountains loss.
The student compared samples from four water fountains to one from a toilet
bowl.
Without letting on, which was which, he asked classmates and teachers which they preferred when viewing the results. All of them chose the toilet bowl water.
Next up...law suits from parents for harming their children.
Story...a king from somewhere in the jungle was visiting the president of the United States. The king asked a servant to stand by to run for water whenever he needed it. Sent away, the servant came back with a cup for the king to drink at various times. Once the servant stayed away for a long time and the king got irritated.
When the servant finally returned the king asked "What took you so long?"
"I am sorry, your highness, but somebody was sitting on the well."
The water, no doubt, was cleaner there, too.
