Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization is going looking for Bigfoot, Sasquatch, Gigantopithecus in eastern Marquette County in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
If you ask me, the guys and girls are just looking for an excuse to go camping.
The leader of the expedition, Moneymaker (that's his real name), wants to find evidence to support the existence of the giant ape-man.
There have been some 2,550 seemingly credible Bigfoot sightings reported in North America. If someone says they saw Bigfoot, then their credibility is lost already.
Anyway...
Michigan's Marquette County has recorded the most reported Bigfoot sightings with four.
In 1958, a California construction company owner made two 16" wooden feet and went gallivanting through the forest to create some tracks
in the mud. The story became front-age reading and led a local paper to coin the term "Bigfoot."I hope Moneymaker and his friends have fun camping out.
