It's my fault. As I mentioned in the day one post, I didn't think this thing through before I started.
Now, I have more questions than I have answers.
1. Will I be able to maintain the level of energy I need to get all my work done each day? As best as I can tell, I got a whopping 600 calories yesterday, maybe less - I kinda guessed at how much maple syrup to put in the juice.
I do not have a physically demanding job...I maintain three blogs PanAsianBiz, RisingSunOfNihon and TheBizOfKnowledge for an online media business network. I also facilitate a very full load of classes for the University of Phoenix online = I sit all day. How many calories can a person burn doing that? I also bike round trip (6-7 miles) to a gym, run a couple of miles and sweat more toxins out in a super hot sauna. And yesterday - I did that while taking in only 600 calories....how many more days will be that possible?
2. How does anybody stomach a quart of anything much less a quart of sea water or lukewarm water with sea salt in it?
I participated in a triathlon in Japan. We swam in the Sea of Japan off the coast of Sado Island. It was a 3.2 mile swim, I think. I remember drinking in part of the sea, several times, and gagging my guts out while faster swimmers took advantage of my pause in movement to walk over my body while completing their swim. Yesterday and this morning I drank a quart of water w/sea salt that tasted almost the same...on purpose. Is there something wrong with me?
3. Why don't I used a measuring cup? This could be easily changed to why don't I pay closer attention to the details?
I had heard of cayenne pepper but did NOT know how potent it was. I stuck a glob of it into the first mix of lemonade and WHOA! serious hot, burning, sneezing and spitting out fire. My wife ducked, thank goodness. Ditto on the maple syrup and the sea salt.
4. So...what else will I learn in this next ten days or so that I hadn't planned on? I may be cleansing more than my body. It seems my old codger way of thinking could use a thorough washing out as well.
Tell me...what lessons did you learn when/if you did the Master Cleanse?
