A few years back, my son and I were living in Houston, TX.
I am a church goer, but he was not. I tried to raise my kids to think for themselves, even if it meant they didn't agree with me. Unfortunately, or not, sometimes they disagreed with me even on things I felt were important. Still...I was patient.
I wanted to invite my son to go to worship with me. Problem - my son is an athlete, a health nut. The preacher was fat, obese, grossly so, dunlap disease. (His belly done lapped way over his belt.) I was embarrassed to ask my son to go.
It's a problem when preachers don't practice what they preach. How about when doctor's don't do the same? Can you respect an overweight doctor? One who smokes?
Harvard University learned that:
1. 42% of doctors exercise twice a week or LESS![]()
2. 48% of doctors have dieted to lose weight - portion control and low-carb diets were tops.
3. 79% of doctors take multivitamins.
4. 28% of doctors took herbal supplements.
5. 26% of doctors took vitamin C when they felt a cold coming on
6. 72% of doctors said they did NOT eat enough fruits and veggies.
How's your doctor? Take a look at his/her waistline and you will have one very obvious indication.
