Morning person, night person...which are you? And why do you think so?
More importantly, why do morning people and night people marry each other?
Oops...I am already off topic.
Yesterday, I picked up a brochure while waiting for my wife at the doctor's office. I came across an article that listed several reasons why a person should exercise in the morning...the first thing each morning...if possible.
1. It's easier to make time in the morning before 'life' gets in the way. Of course, if exercise is a priority, there will be a place for it any time or some time during the day.
2. Exercising early energizes the person for the day. There is something about having run 3 miles BEFORE most people get out of bed.![]()
3. Metabolism gets a jump start. Higher metabolisms equal more calories burned. If your burning calories early on, even before b'fast....it's fat that is getting use.
4. Exercise increases mental sharpness....I have never gone a run, ride, or walk that I didn't come back with an idea....mostly bad, but still an idea nonetheless. Ideas early on give you the whole day to improve on them.
5. You lose weight faster in the morning....or is it earlier in the day?
6. Exercise is a natural appetite suppressant = you will eat breakfast, a must, but less of it = good control.
When do you exercise each day?
