I sometimes wonder what other things I might be doing with my life if I weren't where I am now doing what I am doing now, whatever it might be at the time - serving in the Navy, preaching, teaching, blogging.
I do know that I do NOT want to be the 756th Home Run Ball that Barry Bonds will inevitably hit.
My reasons -
1. It is going to hurt when he hits me![]()
2. Chances are I am going to get wet
3. If I don't get wet, I am going to be creamed by dozens of beer drinking idiots all NOT wanting a piece of me, but ALL of me so that they can in turn get rid of me. Oh, boy!
4. People everywhere but in San Francisco (most of them, too) are going to boo me, no matter how high I fly or how fast I go out.
5. I will likely end up in some rich dude's safe, or
existing in a glass case NEVER allowed to play again.6. I will be violated again and again so that anybody and everybody can make sure that I am/was the ONE.
7. Even Barry Bonds won't care about me...or so he says.
Nah, I don't want to be the 756th Home Run Ball that Bonds hits, or the 757th, 758th ...for that matter.
I'd rather be the 800th home run that Alex Rodriquez hits. At least people outside of San Francisco will be happy, to.
Will you be happy when Barry Bonds breaks Hank Aaron's home run record?
