There's a billboard at a college in Changsha city that has the ugly intrigued and the very ugly and poor irate.
The advertisement is for a plastic surgery center and the pitch is 'look better, get a job.'
So far, some 200 college students have inquired.
One girl says, "I'm going to start job-hunting and I'm not confident with my own face. If I don't do something about it, I'm worried it will prevent me from getting a good job."
Another girl says, "There are some pretty girls in
my class. Every year they can easily find part-time jobs, such as sales promotersBut is it true that a pretty face increases one's competitive abilty in the tough job market in China?
You bet it is.
Should it make a difference?
No...but it does.
Is the knife the answer?
Not in my book.
How about in yours?
In the advertisment - I think I'll take the one on the left.

Great blog! Thanks. I recently had plastic surgery and by accident I stumbled upon www.thepatientsadvantage.com. I used them when looking for a surgeon.
What I liked the most was that my profile remained anynomyous until I was ready to decide what to do. I received replies from four surgeons that met all the things I was looking for. I liked having that complete control without the sales pressure that some of these places can be known for.
If you are going to go down the cosmetic surgery road...better to be safe than sorry. Check them out.
