Covering the business of education and training

I am utterly baffled AGAIN.

My wife and I both teach for a national online university.

Lesson after lesson I am amazed at just how foolish people can be. Foolish may not be the right word...but I can think of more descriptive yet worse words.

We consistently caution the students over and over again, week after week, please do NOT submit the last assignment late....if it comes at midnight, it's late. 

Their counselors tell them, their instructors tell them. They get reminders and still students will send their final assignment in late.

Not just one student...but at least one student in each class, class after class...and different students, too! 

Not just late...but seconds late...as in received at 12:00AM AFTER

9 weeks x 7 days x 24 hours x 60 minutes x 60 seconds = 5,443,200 seconds and still the students will wait until the very last second to send something...and it arrives LATE.

Why do people wait till the last possible moment and then miss the boat?

I am baffled.
