The Chinese voice of Harry Potter is Wu Lei, a member of the Shanghai Film Dubbing Studio.
Wu Lei was the voice behind Harry Potter in episode 2-5 and perhaps the two remaining episodes.
It gets easier says the Chinese lip-synchronizer.
Four years ago, he was a 22-year old speaking
with the voice of a 12-year old boy. But, Harry has grown up over the years and the 26-year old can use his natural voice.
“It seems like I grew up with Harry Potter,” says Wu.
I admit, I never in my slowest of days peppered with daydreams considered the challenges that dubbers of movies in foreign countries face.
Well, I am glad that Wu's life is easier now...I suppose.
