China is heading to the moon with the aim of mapping every inch of its surface.
I don't know the area of the moon, but something tells me that's going to be a very big map.
And don't we have one already?
Later this year, China will launch the Chang'e One lunar orbiter. The craft will take 3D images and send them back home.
China has three phases to its lunar exlporation program.
1. Orbit the moon....then crash into it.
2. Land an unmanned craft on the moon....as opposed to crash into it.![]()
3. Bring back samples to earth....if they can put some of the moon atmosphere in a bottle, there is a guy, I am sure, who would like to sell it.
Only Russia, the United States and China have launched a man into space aboard its own rocket.
In 2008, China has a space walk planned.
Would you like to travel into space?
