Students at Hiroshima University had another bomb dropped on them this week.
The university has learned that due to a plumbing blunder they have been drinking water that was previously meant to move water with other 'bombs' floating in it.
Water meant for toilet flushing has been sent to drinking taps for the past 14 years.
The university realized there was a problem when about 80 students fell ill last
month - vomiting and diarrhea. Of course, after the students found out what they had been drinking there was even
Pipes in the gymnasium, one for high quality drinking water and one for low grade toilet flushing water were attached the wrong way around back in 1993.
And the reason why attention-to-detail Japan even had these two pipes so close together...is still a mystery.
But the...perhaps the Hiroshima students can take heart from the experience at North Bend Middle School
