How I Learned to Communicate Across Cultures (part 7)

Intro to How I Learned to Communicate Across Cultures

Two days later during that same port visit in Chinhae I received another invitation to go home with a local.

     CLOP CLOP CLOP.cross.cultural.communication.jpg

The noise was quick paced until I glanced over my shoulder and saw only a young girl about three to four building lengths behind me walking, slowly, quietly with a controlled bounce in her step. The noise ceased. I faced forward and continued on.

    CLOP CLOP CLOP.

The sound returned again from behind and I looked back more quickly this time. The noise stopped again and the young lady now two building lengths behind, showed me a smile. This puzzled me. She wore a lavender colored dress made of satin or silk, with a low cut neck line. Her chocolate colored belt accentuated her figure. She had platform heels on – the source of the CLOP, I concluded. The sun caused her high cheek bones and thin yellow complexion to shine. She had my attention.
