Is there life after Harry Potter for J.K. Rowling?
It seems there is.
Rowling has been spotted in coffices in Scotland working on a detective novel says a British newspaper via Chinaview.
A fellow author and neighbor to Rowling says
she is turning to crime fiction.
A reporter at an Edinburgh literary festival was told Rowling was writer an Edinburgh criminal detective novel.
As a struggling single mother, Rowling wrote Harry Potter in Scottish city cafes in order to save money on the heating bill at home. Now she is Britain's richest woman and can buy all the cafes in Scotland. she is worth more than $1 billion.
Harry Potter has gone from the cafe to the bookshelves and night stands of more than 335 million people worldwide.
Rowling doesn't predict she will have the same success as she did with the Potter series but she does predict "I'll do exactly what I did with Harry - I'll write what I really want to write."
Ah, the dream of every writer.
The closest I have come so far is to find a coffee house where I can write to save money on my heating bill.
