To Everybody that is pointing the finger, you need to pray. Maybe if you were praying for Bishop & Prophetess, if might not have gotten this far. You are guilty of doing something too, you just haven't been exposed yet. You are guilty of helping the media put negative insight on this matter and you call yourself a Christian and you a right a Christian only, not the remnant of God. Don't forget you will need mercy too one day. Find out what can you do to help heal the matter instead of your negative comments like you have never done wrong in your life. Maybe you murdered someone with your tongue Mr. or Mrs. Self-righteous. Pray for the body of Christ that Satan does not have a field day with the sheep’s and the babes in Christ that they don't backslide and be taken over in their minds by listening to negative shoulda, woulda, and coulda garbage comments by people like you with judgmental attitudes. When a person is up they don't really need you, my brother, my sister it's when they are down. So on this note, may I remind you that the bible read in Proverbs 24:16,"For a just man falleth seven times, and rise back up again;" For Bishop & Prophetess are both still a mighty man and woman of God and I wouldn't want to be part of God's wrath by putting my Mouth on these too people when God heal this, however He choose to do so. Remember what happen to Job's so called friends, remember Moses, David, Samson and so many others fell but God raised them back up for His Glory. This isn't really about Prophetess and Bishop this is about exposing what’s really in you, what your spirit is really about. Be real careful who you put your mouth on. The World is already having a field day with you and for anybody that's not praying in a positive way, interceding for them and their congregation as well as the Body of Christ for restoration, you can not call your self part of God's remnant or really where you need to be in God, with your unpurified spirit and murdering tongue.

Get over it. They are human like everyone else, the problem is they like everyone else took it out of God's hand and kept it in theirs. All of the you have you ever sinned banter and murdered with the tongue is unneccessary, and is a mute point, what happened was sad, rather it happened to the "just or unjust". The bottom line is that you must cover your own marriage and family and look to God for wisdom & guidance, the bible states that as a married person you submit to your husband as he submits to Christ, but there was not a whole lot of submission going on here. So before you get over excited about the whole thing just remember, that pride always comes before the fall.

Are you serious? My prayers for Bishop Weeks & Prophetess Bynum or my lack of prayers for them is no way responsible for it getting "this far". If another ignorant christian blames the Body of Christ for being judgmental when all we are asking for is accountability I am going to scream. (Pause) I had to scream anyway. Religious rhetoric "putting your mouth on" is played, unbiblical and frankly nauseating. To call a wife beater a wife beater is not touching the anointed it is crying aloud, sparing not and showing Israel her sins so that she might repent and be restored. The Weeks & Bynum fiasco reveals who they really are - not who I am. Making excuses for ungodly leadership is the reason why things have gotten this far. My dear sister your loyalty is commendable. I however have been in prayer for the scattered sheep who must once again look for a shepherd that they can trust...

This is such a tragic thing to have happen, particularly, since the world is looking for every opportunity to discredit the church. Doctors, lawyers, accountants, ACTORS and everyone else can have all type of issues, drama and baggage going on in their lives, and the stigma is never as bad as it is when God's anointed ones trip and fall. God says in His word, that "He is able to keep you from falling", but in spite of that provision, we know that we all still fall, on some level, in certain seasons of our lives. Bishop Weeks and Prophetess Bynum-Weeks are certainly no exception, and I say that, because they have a fallen nature, just like the rest of us! The best thing about them, is the "best thing about us", and that is GOD!
I hate that this happened, but now is the time for the church (the real church, not the "religious right", who are like their forefathers, the Scribes, Pharisees, religious leaders in the bible days who sit up on their high horses and fault find all day) to pour in the "oil and the wine" for their healing, pick them up, dust them off, encourage them and allow them to continue to march on in their prophetic destinies, as God created them to do....without judgement and ridicule from the church! There's enough of that going on from the world (the outsiders, who are looking in and haven't got a clue)! If the gospel is hid, it's hid to them that are lost, so it doesn't surprise me that they're looking in, without a clue, but the church knows the way! We're aware that the enemy is crafty, and how easily you can fall prey to his tricks if you're not watchful unto prayer (I'm aware that they pray, but maybe that's an area that they weren't covered in).
The devil has ambushed the saints in this area, so we that can war in prayer need to target some prayer in this area!

Jesus loves you as if you were the only person to have sinned. Redemption is for all, you, me and them. So if you didn't know, now you know. Even if she was arguing with him that´s not illegal. But beating and kicking your wife is! The guy that found them had to pull Weeks off of her! God Loves and Forgives and has designed us to Bless us. The devil is powerless and was defeated at Calvary. He has no authority or control over ANY of our decisions. Bishop Weeks who's supposed to be a father of fathers has let the Christian community down BIGTIME. There's no way any of you should be defending this man, no one defended Judas when he betrayed Christ to this day. He betrayed his wife in the worst way. I'm 36 married now for 15 years and have gotten angry at my wife many times, yes even tempted to react physically, but I understand that beyond all of what I feel at the moment that if at that moment my emotions give way to Barbaric responses then how can I be trusted? How can my children have hope in the institution of marriage? How will my daughters know about the true love of a man? How will my son know about respecting women? I have a responsibility that is never compromised by the power of the enemy but yet lead by the spirit of Christ...... Love, Power and a SOUND mind .......being able to hear the whisper of truth at all times and understanding the effect It will have if I ignore it. People… Yes God forgives, yes the enemy has a plan, but he is reprobate, his plan continues for that very reason only because he can't repent. The fact that he has a plan does not mean that he has power over us because he has been already defeated. The battle is already won. Therefore there is no excuse for what the Bishop did to his WIFE. Let me tell you that God does not need us to suffer at the hand of one another for his purpose to be fulfilled or his message to be delivered. He is Almighty God, Ruler of Heaven and Earth. When he spoke to scattered matter and water, when the Earth was void and without form, that scattered matter trembled with fear but moved with excitement of being used by GOD forming where we now reside. He had complete control, we were made in his image and likeness and we are supposed to be a model to the world. Because of who's we are and the truth that has been revealed to us, we understand we are never powerless over our circumstances....... Love, Power and A SOUND mind..... is our Gift when we accept Christ. This gift is not intermittent it's consistent and Eternal people!!!!! We have to stand accountable for our actions, if not there is no hope for us because it really wasn't us that did it, which lends to the notion that we are Powerless and are just playing church for our conscience sake. Come on people, Women are supposed to Honored, Cherished and most of all (by their husbands) Protected. Wake UP church we cannot tolerate leaders that have no self control. Moses could not enter into the promised land... Why? He had to past the torch to joshua because of what he committed. God did not allow him to get off with out paying the price. This leud act by the Bishop can be forgiven, However he is no position to lead any of us. Christ was tempted in every way that we are and he failed no test. He was working with what we are working with today, But he understood what failure in any area would cost. These leaders cannot just trample on people and then blame it on the Devil.

I am embarassed at what I see in Christian Cyberspace. It is not just excesses in behavior, but lack of Christian discernment. there are christian weblogs devoted to ridiculing the fallen leaders of recent note. I think it is time for ALL of us to judge ourselves and seek God's deliverance and mercy. My prayer is that bishop weekes and sister bynum get the prayer, counseling and help they need.

I think is time the body of Christ be sensitive to the spiritual warfare that is going on in the body of Christ.This is just to show how the body of Christ is under attack by the enemy.Talking will not help but prayers, fasting,time in the word will help us to defeat the enemy.

Domestic violence is real! Men who threaten to kill their women and then choke them, and body slam them to the ground, and kick them and stomp them, not once, not twice, but over and over again like a roach or rat they want to stomp the life out of; in public or private, is the sign of a very abusive and out of control man.

He has a serious problem and cannot get help if he hides it. As long as he denies his problem/sin, Juanita should stay far from him. Her life depends on it. Likewise, all women, Christian or not, should be advised that domestic violence is real and women die every day at the hands of so called lovers. Ladies, do yourself a favor and stay out of harm's way.

Let the abuser seek forgiveness and help from God. Women, you cannot help these men!!! God promises that if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Until this man confesses to God that he has sinned and needs and wants God's help , he is still in his sin and this action will be repeated again. It's not Juanita's fault. NOTHING a woman says or does can provoke this kind of vicious assault from her husband.

Finally, DON'T BLAME THE VICTIM! No human being deserves to be treated like that! Even when men are arrested, they don't won't the police kicking and stomping them like that. Much less a woman!

I believe both of them need to suspend their ministerial activities for now and repent, reconcile and then submit themselves to appropriate leadership authority. Only then will the correct example be set for others to follow.

It is easy for us to write a cornucoppia of comments. I will say this: the devil comes to steal mame, and destroy. We don't REALLY know what has happened to this union, and it isn't fair to either one to lay blame. We need to lift them up in prayer, and be done with it.I don't know too much about the Bishop,except for reading one of his books. I have seen, and heard Ms. Bynum several times, she was a blessing to me and the way I viewed my marriage, and husband.We just need to continue to lift them up in prayer.

If you people ever get delivered from these "Word of Faith" false teachers you will see a beauty in Christ and the gospel that is yet hidden unto you because the god of this world has kept you blind by sending you religious business men & women who twist the truth in order to get into your wallet!

He needs to step down until he addresses the situation in is household. I don't think he can speak to issues of a hurting congregation if he does not address his household. It bother me that he quickly blaims the situation on the devil. How can Bynum preach to women who are currently experience domestic if she runs back to this relationship.

I could only take so much of her messages on the Women on the Front Line - It was all about her, her, her and I, I, I. She even said that her spirit had jumped on some of the people in the audience and on the web and tv, I hope not. We don't need her spirit, but the church needs the Holy Spirit. Praying for her and him I am but excusing their sin(s) I will not. I really hope they both get restored (her from pride) and (him from violence). And please stop writing books until you have really lived the life.

I am so devasated about the problem between Prophetess
and Bishop. They are so anointed of God and not to be aware of the present of the devil of demonic strongholds

The fact is...it’s the wife who has been 'capitalizing' on the black woman. She had a huge following when she was SINGLE and despite getting MARRIED she still maintained her MAIDEN name and continued to focus her message towards the same women. I never really saw her come into submission under husband in the public arena so I can imagine what it was like behind the scenes. The reason why she is popular is because Black women IDENTIFY with her whole persona and that persona is exactly why the majority of her followers are SINGLE and why she is SINGLE AGAIN now. Bishop Weeks was wrong all day long but as a married woman who used to really sincerely follow his wife's teachings she LOST ME when she up and decided to DIVORCE. What happened to trusting God? What happened to God can do all things? Where is HER faith? So the same thing that she preached to ME about 'standing and laying the power of God that is in my spirit on top of that thing the devil is trying to take'..Whats up with all THAT? Nowhere in the Bible does God call a woman to abandon her marriage so she can become the new "FACE OF DV". The things that she said on her Frontline Conference were almost unbelievable. "I was born to be a billionaire! I was born to be a nationally known talk show host! Preaching was just my process! It wasn’t for you...(the followers) it was for ME!" huh???!? I watched the screen in disbelief.

I encourage the emotionally charged stereotyped 'angry black woman' to take a breath...stand back and look at both sides. Bishop was wrong to hit her...and his wife was wrong to give up and to further DEFILE the institution of marriage by being so arrogant as to think her marriage, her ministry...was just a stepping stone to get her to a bigger market...that’s what she's looking at yall. I believe that God was exposing them BOTH...for misconstruing His Gospel, for the facade of lavish living...and despite the chastisement, his wife refuses to SIT. Have yall heard of the spirit of Jezebel? When you get done shouting..go home and read what that spirit's intent was and see if the Bishop's wife doesn’t fit the M.O to a "T". You can’t preach to me about faith in God when you can’t muster enough to work through your marriage issues. And this is coming from a sista who has a marriage that has endured DV and DEMONS and FINANCIAL distress AND mental bondage and by the grace of GOD..my husband and I stand victorious OVER it ALL. I also heard (foxatlanta.com) that Juanita is joining Obama's campaign against domestic violence. Good for her! As she implied that prior to her "there wasn't a face for domestic violence" and or anyone saying "I am going to be the voice and the face to bring domestic violence statistics down." WHAT Holy pipe is she smoking??? Excuse my bluntness, but let's be real. Domestic violence has had a national face for many decades, centuries even, its the face of the women who have slaved their lives, and risked their lives to make the awareness what it is today. Perhaps, yes, God will use you Juanita, if you step out of the way! If your face is big enough to bring domestic violence statistics down with the embarassing attack of your husband, I'd like to see it!
