Friendships forged in college last forever and oftentimes the lessons learned outside of the classroom during the college years are the ones that are the most longlasting and valuable.
American students are teaming up with some of China's finest to help rural children in China whose parents are working in the cities.![]()
Local students get help with their many subjects as well as their English.
More importantly, the kids learn that people care...people on the other side of the world care...people who eat
all their vegetables because 'children in China are starving care.'Even more importantly, university students learn what it means to reach out and make a difference in others' lives.
And THAT is a lesson that should be learned at a young age and applied throughout life.
