There's an article in WSJ that gives good insight into why men avoid kids.
1. An economist in CA accidentally bumps into a kid he raises his arms above his shoulders "I'm sorry!"
2. A doctor in TX sees a lost child crying and turns the other way. "I'm guilty until proven innocent."
3. A retiree in San Diego refuses to be alone with a child, even in an elevator.
4. Ex-Boy Scoutmaster - "I wouldn't do that job for anything. It only takes one kid
to get ticked off and..."
5. A divorced bus driver who once enjoyed some 30 kids stopping by, now alone, has ZERO visitors.
6. A man having a meal with his 5-year old daughter gets interupted by a policeman because someone reports him as "suspicious."
7. A dude in IL gets reprimanded because a mom calls the director of his son's day-care and said he "inappropriately touched the children." Some kids sat on his lap while he read them a book.
So, how can we men avoid being called/accuse of being predators?
Stay home, lock the door, and never come out until all the children in the world have grown up.

It is all very well to highlight the extreme or absurd, but abuse of boys is a major problem. What society needs to hear the stories of real abuse, so they will know the huge difference between sitting on someones lap and being raped in your own bed by you mum's boyfriend. Believe me, no one wants to know, they prefer it not be mentioned, some are sure the boys wanted it, or that what harm could it do. Well it does major harm and destroys lives. So mock if you will, but better to propose means to differentiate between abuse and living and interaction in normal life.
