Britney Spears flopped at the MTV Video Music Awards.
I saw Britney Spears sing once BEFORE I knew who she was. It was 7-8 years ago and I had just moved back to the States from Asia.
My son and a friend needed a ride to a concert. They went down front and sat on the grass. I hid out back in the corner of the big lot.
"Ladies and gentleman...and you in the corner, you old fart...Britney Spears!"
Fast forward to the MTV VMAs.
After Britney's performance:
Sarah Silverman said: "Was that incredible? Britney Spears, everyone. .... She is 25-years-old and she's already accomplished everything she's going to accomplish in her life."
1. Uh...no...let's hope that Britney has NOT accomplished EVERYTHING she's going to accomplish. She's only 25. I wasn't even warmed up at 25.
Adrant: "She delivered exactly what everyone expected; a horrifically embarrassing performance."
2. Yeah...people usually do deliver what is expected of them. Could we expect more from Britney? Apparently, not yet.
MTV: Britney Spears tried to get the party started ..... But the evening belonged to Rihanna and Britney's old beau Justin Timberlake.
3. Yeah, again...sometimes it's somebody else's turn to take the limelight and we are better off getting ourselves straightened out.
The Superficial - "MTV had threatened to pull the plug if Britney didn’t behave over the weekend."
Britney still didn't behave, but was does MTV care...they will make a lot of money off of Britney...flop or otherwise.
4. Yup...people get used...including that cute little girl who had the crowd going bonkers some 7-8 years ago while the old geezer parked himself up in the corner of the hill.
Somebody help the little girl...Britney! Listen to someone who genuinely cares about you....please.

We've been having quite a laugh talking about Brittany's VMA trainwreck over at Highbrid Nation. Its ashame, I feel like her comeback has been derailed before its even begun. Oh and someone tell her about that weave. Looks horrible. Just rock the short hair.
