Vanessa Hudgens is Disney Channel's leading lady...a hearty science and math genius who, it was learned, posed completely naked and then saw the Interent take over from there.
The 18-year old star of "High School Musical" is (was?) in negotiations for a third round.
What she needs is to go back to high school....okay, let's make that kindergarten and learn some of the more basic lessons....like, "what in the world was she
thinking?"
But more importantly, "Where in the world were her agent and PARENTS and friends when she
was baring all?"
Vanessa has apologized. Whoopee. I may be in trouble here...but so has Michael Vick.
America is a forgiving country...we need to be...all the mistakes we make...me included.
But...what do we do? Close our eyes when someone...a star that many of our little ones look up to takes off her clothes?
"I want to apologize to my fans, whose support and trust mean the world to me. I am embarrassed over this situation and regret having ever taken these photos. I am thankful for the support of my family and friends.”
So...I ask again, where were those family members...where was her DAD for crying out loud...BEFORE the pictures were taken?
What we can see is that...well, no matter how badly we screw up...there will always be forgiveness....as if perhaps now it is even expected.
Where is the line to be drawn? When do we say "Enough forgiveness for now?"
What we/I can also see is that this little girl needed to have parents involved in her life who know better, who could direct her, encourage her, long BEFORE she did something so stupid.
Parents....get involved with your kids....take them to church...teach them right from wrong...and maybe they won't have to say "I'm sorry" so often or in such a situation.
