Nike Air Native N7 is discrimination in action...NOT affirmative action.
Or is it just good niche marketing?
But, then what about us competition dancers with two left feet? Are they going to make something for us, too?
Boycott!
Nike has come out with a shoe for Native Americans.
Nike designers looked at the feet of more than 200 from more than 70 trives nationwide and found that native Americans have:
1. a much wider foot (3 width sizes larger
2. a much taller foot (needs a taller toe box)The shoe has:
1. fewer seams for irritation
2. a thicker sock liner for comfort
Nike says profits from the sale will support Nike-sponsored "Let Me Play" programs on Native American lands.
But, why doesn't Nike make shoes to sponsor other programs:
How about shoes for tiny Indian children abused as camel jockies?
How about shoes for two handed bowlers?
What about customized shoes for bloggers who walk to coffee houses daily when their cable service at home doesn't work?
My point - somebody is sure to ask why Nike will help out the Native Americans and not them?
Or is this kind of like Microsoft donating PCs to third world countries as long as they have Microsoft's OS in them?

Your comments smack with racism. Why can't Nike create a shoe for the people who "discovered" America first? Nike is just creating a shoe that fits better on Native American feet, big freakin deal, you're an a-hole.
