The new kid came to school wearing a pink shirt.
A group of 6 - 10 older students mocked him, called him a homosexual and threatened to beat him up.
The next day, two seniors showed up wearing pink and bought 75 more pink tank tops for other male students to wear.
They brought some material for headbands
and armbands. In the end about half of the 830 student body was wearing pink.
The bullies got mad and took it out on a chair.
When asked why the two decided to stick up for the 9th grader in pink - "It’s my last year. I’ve stood around too long and I wanted to do something."
Well, at least two kids learned something in high school this year.
If only we could all learn to respect one another and stick up for each other.
