Faster than a speeding bullet....stronger than a locomotive....able to leap tall buildings in a single bound...can throw chairs at his students.
A teacher in Japan has been honored as 'super teacher'.
The 52-year old high school teacher had been reprimanded several times for using coporal punishment...on school equipment.
Still...he gets the "super teacher" distinction...three years running, because his strict teaching methods have seen results in the students' performance.
He once threw a chair at the volleyball team he coached...aka Bobby Knight but
at a basketball game.
The teacher has resigned having been on medical leave since the latest accusation.
Japan's school system can't make up their minds - on one hand stricter discipline is called for, including harsher punishments and on the other hand some say Japanese children are under too much pressure:
heavy workload
strict exam system
bullying
So, which is it going to be Japan?
What do you think - schools should be stricter or more lax?
