An Amorphophallus gigas from Sumatra, Indonesia bloomed for the first time in four years in Tokyo.
The plant reaches 3.1 meters and the blooming bud is about 1 meter in length.
The flower is the tallest blooming flower in the world and is hanging out at Koishikawa Botanical Garden of the University of Tokyo.
The botanical garden in Tokyo's Bunkyo-ku is the only facility in the Japan to have
the flower.
My wife tells me I remind her of a flower....a blooming idiot. But...I am not 3.1 meters tall.
Um...btw...phallus...isn't that? And doesn't this look like?
Reminds me of this story...
