A Wisconsin dude at the Arkansas Crater of Diamonds Park found a 3.92 Carat Diamond.
Best part...he wasnt really looking.
It also wasn't the first diamond that he found this week. His fiance' also found several diamonds, a 1.47 carat stone and some other smaller gems.
The man had a 70-pound bucket of mud that he was going to wash out, and when he but it down voila' there it was....a new gem for his collection. His fiance already has a one carat ring. What else does she need?
Security around the new fine perhaps? ![]()
Friends sent me to the Hermitage Museum in then-Leningrad in the early 90s. I didn't want to go...I didn't even know what the Hermitage was until I walked into the first exhibition room and was confronted with a Picasso.
A few more rooms...a Michelangelo...a Rembrandt...yup...they were all there.
I was overwhelmed, I was stunned...a Rubens "Descent from the Cross" was my favorite. I fell in love with classical art that day having NEVER EVER considered that art was worth viewing.
Don't weirdos do that sort of thing?
No.
I found a treasure in the Hermitage and I wasn't even looking for it...just hanging out with the Masters.
That's the way it is with treasures sometimes, a lot?...you find them when you aren't really looking for them.
But...you do have to be out and about.
Where have you found a treasure at?
