J.K. Rowling has outed Dumbledore. It's a tragedy?
"I always saw Dumbledore as gay," said Rowling.
"Dumbledore fell in love with Grindelwald....
"Don't forget, falling in love can blind us.
[He] was very drawn to this brilliant person. This was Dumbledore's tragedy."
Indeed, being gay can be a tragedy or did she mean falling in love is a tragedy?
I never understood why so many millions of people were drawn to her books and I could barely...barely make it through the first.
Now I know...I wasn't drawn to the Dumbledore types.![]()
Homophobic? Me? Hardly.
Think the homosexual lifestyle leads to tragedy on many levels? Yes, I do.
The Christians will have a heyday with this.
They (the Christians) didn't want their kids reading about wizards and magic school to begin with...and now we can hear "SEE!!" and the schoolmaster Dumbledore was gay, too!
"What could our kids possibly learn from such a book?"
Well, they can learn that all is not straight in the world.
Things often are not what they appear to be.
And, like it or not, a writer can do anything she pleases with her characters.
That's pretty much the way the world is ... like it or not.
