Hoover High School and the Hoover Board of Education are having problems getting their story straight...and THAT is apparently the problem.
A student left a threatening note at school last week and the parents and sheriff's department have their underwear in a knot because they weren't told about it.
Parents are saying there are:
Leadership issues
Curriculum issues
Safety issues
The police - out of the loop and on the wrong end of rumors that MANY schools had received threatening letters.
Sounds like a real life game of 'telephone', no? ![]()
“They’ll call us if two kids are fighting in the hallway,” he said. “The school board or principals always contact us.... For 99 percent of any problems that arise in the school they are very good about informing us of what is going on.”
But they didn't call about a threatening letter...hmmm.
Administrators are saying:
They were "on top of it."
What's it?
...
Meanwhile...we also have the attorneys involved to really get the story screwed up.
Three versions of the investigation are now floating around.
So, what happens when the parents and the sheriff's office and the administrators and the lawyers each read the three versions and get on the phone?
And...we wonder why our kids have such a hard time at school getting things straight, too?
